what our families look like. What matters is that we have people whom we can rely upon and care for.
There's a quote by Erma Bombeck that says, "The family. We were a strange little band of characters trudging through
life sharing diseases and toothpaste, coveting one another’s desserts, hiding shampoo, borrowing money, locking each other out of our rooms, inflicting pain and kissing to heal it in the same instant, loving, laughing, defending, and trying to figure out the common thread that bound us all together." You may not always get along with your family members. In fact, there might be some people in your family whom you don't speak to anymore. However, in order to better understand your own identity as you get older, it's important to look at your background, traditions, and values. Our families help shape who we become.
Over the vacation I posted a note to Edmodo, and one of the lines in that note states, "I care not just about your
grades or your test scores, but about you as a person." You've never been "just another name on the list" to me. You're not disposable! This unit, you will complete a WebQuest to learn more about YOU, and it will also give me the opportunity to learn more about you! You can locate the WebQuest by following this address: http://zunal.com/webquest.php?w=238953. Please keep in mind that I will be adding to and modifying the WebQuest over the weekend. Therefore, you should really check back on Sunday for the most up-to-date information. Oh, and make Percy Jackson proud as you embark on your quest!
