I very much enjoyed the presentations of your family scrapbooks this week. Many of your homeroom teachers told me that you were sharing your scrapbooks with each other even before school began on Tuesday morning. Hearing that news made me incredibly happy. I'm glad that many of you took pride in this assignment. As anticipated, I've learned a great deal more about you and what is important to you as well. Again, when I give your scrapbooks back to you, I would suggest that you don't simply recycle them immediately. Life's not all about just trying to achieve grades to move on to the next step. Years from now, you probably will not remember which grades you received in middle school. (I don't!) However, you will hopefully remember certain assignments, moments, and experiences. This may or may not be one of them, but only time will tell! Just so you know, I don't delete old blogs when a school year's over. I archive them so that I, too, can look back!
The last important item of business concerns Sanford Dollars. I'll be giving out quite a bit of Sanford Dollars next week (if you earn them), and over the weekend, I will post on Edmodo the different prizes for which you can exchange your Sanford Dollars. Oh, and kids, don't try to use your Sanford Dollars at Chipotle. I've already tried. It doesn't work. Shucks.
